A Course by Chad Sanders
Write it. Pitch it. Sell it.
If you want to sell your TV show to a network, this course is for you.
You do not need industry experience.
What’s in this course and Who is it for?
In this course you will find the process, documents and information that Hollywood professionals use to sell TV shows. I (Chad Sanders) created this course after selling two TV series to major networks (Peacock and BET) and after writing for TV series on two major networks (ABC’s Grown-ish and HBO’s Rap Sh!t).
I sold my first TV series with Spike Lee as my Executive Producer and my second with Morgan Freeman as my Executive Producer.
This course will walk you through each step of finding your voice, coming up with your show idea, writing your TV pilot, building the network you need to sell in Hollywood, growing your brand as a creative, building your team of representatives and collaborators, pitching your tv show, negotiating the sale of your show and more. You do NOT need to live in Los Angeles to make this happen.
This course will uncover the secrets behind how TV shows are sold in Hollywood so you can pursue your dream without wasting time and money.

About Chad Sanders, the creator of this course. (That’s me)
I’m Chad Sanders, a TV show creator, author and public figure whose voice has reached millions. I’ve sold two TV shows: one with Spike Lee and another with Morgan Freeman to Peacock and BET. I’ve also written for ABC’s Grown-ish and HBO’s Rap Sh!t.
And here’s the thing: I came into this industry as a total outsider, with no network, no Masters in Fine Arts, no TV/film production experience, no real money and I’ve never lived in Los Angeles.
I learned from conversations behind closed doors as well as my own trial and error that there’s a formula and a set of repeatable steps that anyone can take to sell a TV show. That’s why I built this course: to help you sell your TV show.
If you want to know more about me, I’m the author of How To Sell Out: The (Hidden) Cost of Being a Black Writer and Black Magic: What Black Leaders Learned from Trauma and Triumph. I also authored a children’s book called The Quest Cousins Go Camping.
My writing has been featured in The New York Times, Time, Forbes, Fortune, and many other publications. I’ve hosted podcasts that have garnered millions of downloads across my four shows including Yearbook on the Armchair Expert Network, Direct Deposit (an Audibles Originals podcast), Nothing But Anarchy and Quitters which I co-hosted with Modern Family star, Julie Bowen.
Brené Brown called my work “Daring, Urgent and Transformative.”
And once again, I came into this industry as a complete outsider. That’s why I want to open this industry up to people who may not have the information or the network they think they need to realize their dreams in Hollywood.
I believe that everyone living has a story and a point of view which means they deserve to have a voice. I want to empower aspiring creatives by showing you what’s inside Hollywood’s black box.
That’s why I’m offering you this course: How To Sell Your TV Show.
“Daring, urgent and transformative.”
“Chad has the unique ability to turn his experiences and the experiences of others into a guidebook that will inspire many healthy discussions. This is Chad’s superpower.”
